The successful incumbent will act as a
consultant for the construction supervision
of a large urban transportation system
project. Will act as the key interface
between consultant, contractors, clients
and funding agencies
Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
• Lead a team of approximately 10-15
consultant staff comprising international
and local engineers, technicians and
support staff, to deliver the required
construction supervision services
• Provide technical leadership as well as
mentorship and training to local personnel
• Implement project quality control
procedures for the delivery of the
consulting services and develop new

(Urban transportation / bridges /
walkways) – Nigeria
Overview:

• Assume responsibility for the preparation
of all project reports and deliverables such
as progress reports, contractor progress
claims, contract variations, contract
completion certificates, project completion
report, etc.
• Take leading role in the inspection and
acceptance of construction works and in
administering the construction contracts
Requirements: Qualifications and Skills
• Civil or Structural Engineering degree
(Masters preferred)
• Registered with an internationally
recognized professional engineering
institution
• Minimum 10 years post graduate
working experience in design and
construction supervision of heavy civil
works and municipal infrastructure such as
roads, bridges, transportation systems,
buildings and other infrastructure with at
least 5 years’ experience in a developed
country
• Must have experience in a consulting
environment, (experience as contractor is
also desirable)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in
developing countries, preferably in Africa,
with 3 years’ experience at resident
engineer level.
